When it comes to essays and dissertations, my focus is very strongly on plans and structure. I have an organic approach to teaching, depending on the subject and the student. While it is important to guide a student and help them to perform to the best of their ability it is just as essential to pay close attention to the student's needs.
I will discuss this in the first half-hour session with the student to gage what their needs are. This can be done via phone, skype, or email. I can provide comments for improvement, proofread for spelling, grammar, and semantic mistakes, and encourage the student to approach their writing in a more appropriate manner.
During tutorials I help students with all aspects of writing an essay, from finding a suitable topic, developing their research skills, learning how to use online & library resources, planning and structuring an essay, communicating ideas clearly & effectively, improving writing skills, to editing their own work. I can also teach revision skills, dissertation writing and time management.

I change my teaching style based on the students needs. I like to encourage independence and enable confidence.
Firstly, I approach each topic by asking the student what they struggle with and why. After this, we can work together to decide on the best approach to tackle the issues! My lessons are fun and friendly, and no student is ever too afraid to say they don't understand something. The best way to learn is by enjoying it, so that's what I try to do.
I work online with students. Following a brief discussion about the subject of the essay/dissertation, during which we troubleshoot any anxieties the student may have about their work, I read through the work and suggest areas for improvement then, once the student has completed revisions, begin the work of copyediting. I am a fast worker and can help turn a piece of work around to tight deadline.
I try to understand the student to learn how they interpret information and what the best way is for them to take in information.
My teaching method is always tailored to my specific students, along with what they would like to achieve.
I will walk you through the whole essay writing process: starting with reading the question and planning, then moving on to essay structure, and finally spending the rest of our time looking at critical thinking and correct terminology. I will then be available to mark your essay for a reduced price with quick turnarounds.
I'd like to know what stage the student is currently at; I'd combat their initial queries and together, we would build upon their skills. Confidence is important in the baseline for fluid essay writing and thinking, thus this would be the solid foundation.
I deal with students' potential. I encourage their own creativity and give them the stimuli and guidance necessary for them to realise their own capacity for interpretation and eloquence. I help them understand the basics from a different perspective than those taught.
I tailoring my teaching to suit each students preferences the best I can. When it comes to prodreading I do the bulk of it independently, unless there is something I can’t understand, then provide feedback so you can improve for future papers.
I start by establishing a respectful and ambitious learning relationship with a student. I want to know a student's interests, be aware of strengths and weaknesses, identify goals and fears. From there, I would construct a learning strategy that would be tailored to my student's needs; and in the role of a personal tutor/mentor, the student would be assured of my full support and attention.
To be honest, I do not have a teaching method, as this will be my first opportunity to teach, I think I will deal with individuals, the way they work best. This is also a learning opportunity for me, if even the chance, we all have to start from somewhere. I am very patient as a person, a characteristics owned by many years of experience in customer service.
I pride myself in tailoring lessons to the interests of the child to ensure they gain the most out of their sessions. I make learning fun and engaging and ensure the child feels at ease. I prefer to assess children on an individual basis, discussing with them what they would like help with whilst also discussing needs with parents.
My teaching method is slow, steady learning. This allows both myself and the student to track the progress being made, and allow room for improvement. I have found that this method has allowed the student being taught to clearly see where mistakes are being made and how to remedy them.
Text based lessons for literature are reading and discussion based, with the student taking notes. This leads to essay modelling and practising of the skills by the student. EFL and GCSE language teaching will be tailored to fit the interests and first language of the student where possible.
My teaching method is largely based on the interaction between pupil and text. I like to create lessons that are age-friendly and relevant to the students. The most important aspect to me, is that students come away from a class with at least the germ of their idea and the desire to write it.
I am here to help teens and university students with their writing, be this a cover letter, research paper or personal statement. I will assist you based on your individual needs and concerns, clearly explaining why you might want to make certain choices with your writing, and what you can do to really stand out and present a polished final work.
My teaching method is suitable for entry level students. Lessons can start from understanding past, present, future tenses to writing sentences and paragraphs. I understand that people learn at different speeds and tailor my lessons to suit each individual whilst encouraging progress and my aim is to make learning English fun.
I have experience in both individual and group lessons. I can teach any level up to Higher English, and offer support in proofreading. I aim to make my lessons as individual as possible and base them around my learners' needs.
I use the first session to get to know the student, personally and educationally - I find out where they’re confident and weaker in the subject, give a couple of questions and then move on from there. With exercises for revision techniques, small homework’s and past papers completed both with me and at home.
I strive to understand the individual student's needs with regards to the subject we are attacking. With those in minds, after we have discussed strengths and weaknesses we will go on to discuss ways we can work together to overcome the obstacle, including oral and written tasks related to the subject matter.
Ayse Saliha Erken’s sessions will be based on personalized evaluation of each student’s specific needs. Thereafter, a programme will be developed – tailored for the individual.
My teaching method focuses on the individual needs of the student. Every session is tailored to specific needs and aims to maximise success every step of the way. I don’t believe in a one-size fits all approach, and that every student is different. All of my lesson plans are specifically formulated, and I see tutoring as a collaborative activity between student and teacher.
I believe in structuring lessons quite thoroughly yet allowing for some flexibility of movement that encourages the student to consider the topic in new and exciting ways. Most important to me is a reciprocity between the tutor and the student whereby both are working towards the same goal. I am most interested in teaching students who have a commitment to a project.
I always begin by getting to know each individual student and working together to cater each lesson to their needs.
I would be able to teach English students of any level up to Higher English or equivalent. I would also be able to tutor ESOL students as English is my native language. I would teach by going over the texts you are studying and helping you to get a deeper understanding. As well as looking through the texts, I would also help with folio work and going through past papers.
