About Isabelle
Grew up not enjoying History, because none of the teachers were passionate about what they were teaching. Took it on a whim at GCSE and onwards and fell in love with it, earning high marks (including full marks in one of my GCSE exams)!
Studied History at A Level, focusing on the Cold War, Russia, and the English Civil War.
Moved to London from the Midlands and pursued a Bachelors degree in History at the University of Roehampton.
Now graduated and in a marketing manager role fresh out of university (History is definitely beneficial!), but writing a History of Coffeehouses book in my spare time.

Hi there!
I'm a graduate in History from the University of Roehampton, an award-winning London University. It upsets me to think that people are put off of History because it's boring and dull, but I want to show them why it's such a brilliant subject!
Since I'm still a young person (i'm only 22!), I can empathise and connect with students on a greater level than older and more traditional tutors. Being only a recent graduate means that I also have fresh skills in my mind, and can translate how to get good grades to students who may need a little extra push. I use techniques which worked well for me, and helped me achieve an A in history at school, and a 2:1 at University. No tedious note-taking here!
