About Alec
Before becoming a teacher I received my bachelors in Mathematics. I am a professional in-class teacher for 3 years. I've been certified by the state of Texas to teach students. Also I have been tutoring students for 5+ years in all math grade levels.

I typically tutor elementary up to 8th grade math, but I have tutored all grades from 1st - 12th. To me a tutoring session is more personalized then a class session. My job is to find where my students need the most help and work on those subjects. I don't stay on subjects that students already comprehend, but move on to the next subject. For a typical lesson I come prepared with what I want to look over that day. I often make changes to the plan as we are going through the lesson either because I feel the student already comprehends or that we need to dive deeper into the subject matter before continuing.
