About Sophie
I have recently graduated with a first class degree in Artist Designer Maker: Glass and Ceramics. Prior to this I gained a foundation in Art and Design at the Northern School of Art. Throughout my degree I have won awards for my work, have been a Mike Davies Scholar and presented my art to panels in London each year of my degree. Last year I received sponsorship to take part in the drawing marathon at The Royal Drawing School in London, where I built upon my skills and developed my style.
Throughout university I have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering and teaching workshops to beginner students and would love this opportunity to share my experience and techniques with future students online, in hopes of helping those who need guidance and support to develop artistically.

I have practical experience of teaching arts workshops within university. I am currently offering 1 hour lessons online tailored to current students and adults.
I will tailor my lessons to meet your interests and requirements! You may be preparing a portfolio for an arts university application, looking to build upon your skills already, wanting to start a new hobby or develop your style.
I will cover a range of drawing techniques, sharing prompts and tips to get you to open up and become more of an expressive artist. I will increase your exposure to more drawing techniques, including experimental ways of drawing such as drawing from literature, music and observation. Other techniques and media will be explored including basic printmaking from home, painting, illustration, basic sculpture.
