About James
I am the classic late starter, was never very interested in academia. In my later years I developa real addiction for learning. I discovered I was autistic and had ADHD which allowed me to understand how learning works best for me as an individual. I studied a year of psychology at Ruskin college, two years of history / politics at the open university, and then completed my bachelors with honours in politics at Sheffield Hallam University. I then spent a year working as an intern at the university learning about the different needs of a very diverse student populationand how to better deliver education. I am a very laid back and no stress tutor and have a lot of experience tutoring other students throughout my academic career. It is something i am deeply passionate about, helping people get their education so they can have the sense of achievement that it gave me.

I believe everybody has a different approach and a different requirement when it comes to learning. What works for one person may not work for another and that is ok. My job is to figure out your needs and your learning style to help you Excel in your chosen subject. I can accommodate for a range of learning difficulties and nurodivergences. I will talk with you, assess where you're currently at, where you want to get to and what approach suits you best. lessons are relaxed, no pressure and often pastoral in their approach.
