About Yara
As a former IB graduate from the International Baccalaureate program, one of the most challenging and rigorous programs in the world, I am more than qualified to help guide you, motivate you, and push you to achieve success.
As a former student, I understand the importance of doing well and achieving high marks. To do this, it must be understood that education and studying do not correlate to a simple number on an exam paper, but rather it is a journey of perseverance and strength, which, once mastered, can open many doors of opportunity for students.

My lessons will adapt based on the individual needs of each student.
My goal is to provide a constructive approach in teaching different areas of the English Language such as writing, analyzing pieces of literature, SAT prep, and essay structure which is the basis that every child needs in this subject. Note taking, discussion, assignments and practice will contribute to my methods and techniques.
These lessons are mainly designed for high school students (9th-12th grade), and the student can be from any educational program (AP, IB, French Bac etc.)
What sets me apart from other tutors, is that I recently graduated high school, which gives me an edge as I understand the academic stress, and confusion that students are going through at this time. High school is a vital time to focus on achieving good grades for college, studying for the SAT, and building their resume. I can help students navigate through these obstacles as I have recently done so myself.
