About Priscilla
I am a Malaysian dancer with 18 years of experience in the field. I started ballet when I was 8 and did my first competition when I was 13. When I was 18, I won my first Gold Medal at the 19th Classical Ballet Solo Competition along with Mr Sunny Chan Award - an award by the president of The Dance Society of Malaysia. In the same year, I danced as the principal role as Juliet in the production Romeo & Juliet by Wong Jyh Shyong. In the following year, I received the Best Performer Award in the Dancer's Training Program organized by Damansara Performing Art Center.
From the age of 8 to 18, I completed RAD syllabus (Royal Academy of Dance) with all Distinctions. I did Vaganova when I was studying in University. That being said, my ballet teaching method is based on these two ballet syllabus.
I continued to finish my studies in National Taiwan University of Arts, majoring in a variety of dance styles which includes Ballet, contemporary, modern and Chinese dance.
In 2021, I was accepted into Ballet Magnificat's Trainee Program and was promoted into thethe Event's Company in the following year.

About the lesson

For ballet lesson, the main goal of my private coaching is to help the student achieve their highest potential. Normal ballet class doesn't allow a teacher to mainly focus on one student, therefore it allows the student and I to work together in a more effective and in-depth flow.
Contemporary and modern dance would be more of an interest class. Focus on fun choreography and improvisation.
Chinese dance lesson would mainly focus on basic arm, feet and head placement in the dance style. When placements have been mastered, we will proceed to do short combinations and hopefully a full Traditional Chinese dance piece.
