About Alice
I have ample experience teaching KS3 and KS4 science to a range of different abilities, including helping students to get to grade 4/5 in combined foundation science and also helping students to achieve grades 8/9 in triple science. Whilst I am a biology specialist, I have experience teaching all 3 sciences at a GCSE level and have taught both the AQA syllabus and Edexcel syllabus. I am happy to help with all things science and can help to stretch your understanding to establish a strong foundation in scientific concepts ready for GCSE examinations.

My approach to teaching is based on various research and up-to-date teaching methods recommended from the Education Endowment Foundation. I use a lot of spaced retrieval practice to help solidify core concepts and application-style questions to build up an understanding of scientific knowledge as opposed to just recalling information. The typical length of my lessons are 1 hour, however I can do shorter/ longer lessons depending on the content being covered and what works for you. I am a qualified teacher with experience teaching biology, chemistry, and physics to GCSE level to classes of various abilities. My lessons are for KS3 and KS4 students studying science at secondary school.
