About Jane
I started learning piano in China when I was six and have continued ever since. From the age of seven, I took part in the Shanghai Musicians Association Piano Grading Exams and passed the Performance Level Exam in high school. Later, I studied piano at the University of Rochester and had the chance to learn from a professor at the Eastman School of Music. In 2015, I won the university’s piano concerto competition. In 2016, I went to Vienna as an exchange student in Music and performed in several school concerts there.

Understanding your goals for learning piano is my top priority. I spent my pre-college years in China and have experienced both the strengths and weaknesses of Chinese and Western piano teaching methods. I combine the best aspects of both styles, focusing on keeping students engaged and motivated while ensuring they develop the necessary technical skills.
My hourly rate for online lessons is $40. In-person lessons range from $60-75, depending on the time needed for traveling to students' places. Lesson durations will be discussed at the trial lesson.
