About Anna Carolina
I'm Anna Carolina, graduated in Language (Port./Ing.) from "Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie", with a Bachelor's degree in Publishing by the same university, and finishing a Master's in Publishing at City, University of London.
I worked for Alumni at School Solutions with students from Clube Hebraica, Rio Branco, and Dante Alighieri. For six years I worked at the Red Balloon in Moema with children aged 3 to 15. I worked at the Chapel International School, and at the moment, after having returned from my studies in London, I am working as a teacher at Graded, São Paulo International School.
I have an American degree, as well as Cambridge's TKT (Theory of Knowledge) tests, Cambridge's CPE (Cambridge Professional English) test, and the IELTS test that I took when I entered university in London.
I am passionate about books, children, the English language, and most importantly teaching.

With methods created by educators Gay Su Pinnell and Irene Fountas, I work on reading, word study, and grammar.
I recommend a book to work on during the year, the so-called "novel", and I use sight words lists from programs like "Seeing Stars", and spelling study with "Words Their Way".
My classes are dynamic, and depend on student participation. Due to the pandemic I've been teaching a lot of classes by zoom. Our objective depends on what the student is looking for or needs, including tutoring.
At the moment I work as a teacher at Graded School, Escola Americana de São Paulo, in the OLS department in elementary school (I work with children who have some learning disability). In the afternoon I work as a private teacher. I have the "Writer's" and "Reader's Workshop" training and more recently the training for the Literacy Learning Intervention (LLi) system. I have worked at Red Balloon for six years with ages 3 to 15, and have had the experience of studying at one of the best universities in London.
At the moment my students are still of school age, but everything is possible to adapt. All it takes is a student with good will and perseverance, who is learning to read or who already knows and wants to practice or prepare for exams such as the Cambridge Examinations, TOEFL, IELTS, and the SAT (language section).
