About Alireza
I recently graduated with Distinction from the M.Sc. programme in Robotics at Imperial College London, and I am currently continuing my academic work at Imperial as a Visiting Researcher. Before this, I completed my degree in Mechanical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology in Iran, graduating with first-class honours.
My passion for teaching began early. During high school, I took part in the Astronomy Olympiad, which deepened my interest in mathematics, physics, and astronomy. Later, I had the opportunity to teach these subjects to gifted students in my hometown, Tehran, which was a highly rewarding experience and strengthened my commitment to education.
Alongside this, I have also worked as both a teacher and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Imperial, and both roles have been truly meaningful to me. I find great satisfaction in helping students understand difficult concepts, grow in confidence, and develop a genuine interest in learning.
I deeply enjoy both teaching and research, and my long-term goal is to pursue a career as a university academic. For me, teaching is not only about explaining a subject clearly, but also about inspiring curiosity, building confidence, and helping students develop a deeper way of thinking.

I believe good teaching is not just about getting the right answer, but about learning how to think deeply and solve problems with confidence. My goal is to help students develop a strong and structured approach to problem-solving, while making sure that all of their questions are properly addressed along the way.
I do not expect students to know everything from the beginning. What matters more to me is curiosity, motivation, and a willingness to learn. Depending on the topic, I am happy to start from the very basics in order to fill gaps in understanding and clarify any weak or confusing points before moving on to more advanced ideas.
Patience is one of the values I care about most in teaching. I always try to create an environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions, no matter how simple or detailed they may seem. I am more than happy to answer as many questions as needed during my lessons, because I believe real learning happens through clear explanation, active discussion, and building confidence step by step.
