About Ruihan
I graduated from Buddhist Studies and I'm passionate about Chinese painting. I've been doing Chinese calligraphy for years and built my skills in Chinese painting upon it. I've followed with different teachers in China and specialise in the genre of huaniao (flower and birds). I'd like to introduce the beauty of Chinese arts to you. Together, we get inspired by the beauty of nature and apply our feelings to arts.

Participants in my class can choose anything they want to learn. I'll tailor the class to their needs and gradually build up the skills they need to do more complicated works in the future. The teaching content includes brush control, ink control and colouring techniques. I also blend my teaching with introducing key concepts and philosophy you find in Chinese painting, so that you not only replicate the example works but also know why they are painted in particular ways. Typical length of a lesson is 1.5 hr.
