About Joseph
I'm Joseph! I have over 10 years of experience as a Graphic Designer, creative consultant, and marketing generalist. I hold an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design and Advertising.
During college, I worked for two years as a computer lab technician in my program's design department, where I oversaw and guided underclassmen; offering creative help with their assignments and technical guidance with Adobe design software. Troubleshooting is my middle name!
After college, I worked in-house at a growing fashion retailer. I began as a Junior Graphic Designer and gradually climbed to the position of Creative Director, guiding a team of staff and junior designers to success. As part of my job, I trained interns one-on-one with the use of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. In one case, an intern recruited me for additional tutoring after their internship ended.
After nearly 7 years of working with that fashion retailer, I decided I needed more variety and opportunity. I began self-employment as a Creative Consultant, taking on a wide range of projects like branding and logo design, print and digital marketing, photo editing, website design, and much more.
I love helping others solve their problems with gentle guidance, troubleshooting unusual design situations, and sharing the design tools I've grown proficient with over the years. My favorite program to work with is Adobe Illustrator, though I'm no stranger to Photoshop or InDesign either.
Whether you're learning graphic design as a hobby, sharpening your skills to grow your small business, or need some extra guidance with your design coursework, I'm more than happy to help!
