About Joanna
I am a guitar tutor with 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Studies. I enjoy helping students achieve their musical goals through lessons that are practical, encouraging, and enjoyable from beginning to advanced levels.
My teaching style is flexible and student-focused, allowing every learner to progress comfortably while building strong technical foundations. I believe confidence grows naturally when students understand each skill before moving forward.
Outside teaching, I enjoy composing instrumental music, performing live, and learning new guitar techniques from different musical traditions. These experiences help me bring fresh inspiration and practical ideas into every lesson.

My guitar lessons help students enjoy learning while developing reliable playing skills through clear and structured guidance. We practice chord changes, rhythm accuracy, fingerstyle techniques, alternate picking, scales, arpeggios, tone control, vibrato, bending, and timing using enjoyable songs and practical exercises. Every lesson encourages steady progress while keeping learning relaxed and motivating.
As students become more confident, we work on improvisation, solo phrasing, ear training, songwriting, music theory, stage presence, performance preparation, and expressive playing. I create personalized learning plans that help students strengthen technique while discovering their own musical style and confidence.
My goal is to help students become capable guitarists who enjoy every opportunity to perform and create music. Every lesson develops technical ability, creativity, and a lasting passion for playing the guitar.
