About Selene
I completed my Master’s degree in Music Performance and have 11 years of experience teaching guitar to students at different levels. My interest in guitar began with a passion for music, which gradually developed into a strong commitment to teaching and guiding others.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and practical learning. I break down techniques into simple steps so students can understand and practice them effectively. I use demonstrations, exercises, and personalized feedback to help students improve steadily. I also adapt my teaching methods based on each student’s pace and learning preferences to ensure they feel comfortable and supported.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing guitar and exploring different musical styles to stay inspired. Teaching guitar is very fulfilling because I see students grow in confidence and ability over time. Helping them enjoy music and achieve their goals motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and care.

Learning guitar becomes easier and more enjoyable when students understand how rhythm, chords, and technique work together instead of simply memorizing finger positions. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in chord transitions, strumming patterns, finger placement, and rhythm through clear and structured guidance. I guide students step by step so they can develop smooth playing habits and improve coordination between both hands. I also include exercises that help students improve timing, tone quality, and overall control, making their playing more confident and expressive. Each session is interactive and supportive, allowing students to learn comfortably at their own pace.
I design my lessons based on each student’s level and goals to ensure steady progress and consistent improvement. Beginners focus on basic chords, simple songs, and rhythm patterns. Intermediate learners work on chord variations, fingerstyle techniques, and smoother transitions. Advanced students focus on advanced techniques, improvisation, and performance skills. Practice routines, structured exercises, and feedback sessions are included to support continuous growth.
Guitar lessons also help students develop creativity, patience, and confidence. As they improve, they become more comfortable playing songs and expressing themselves through music. Many learners enjoy the flexibility and enjoyment that comes with guitar playing. My goal is to make guitar learning engaging, structured, and confidence-building.
