About Isla
My passion for guitar began through exploring different music genres and experimenting with rhythm and melody during early practice sessions. This inspired me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Contemporary Music and Guitar Performance. Over the past 7 years, I have helped students develop strong technical skills and musical confidence.
I believe music education should be practical, enjoyable, and easy to understand. My teaching style focuses on structured learning, real musical examples, and consistent practice habits that help students grow naturally. I encourage students to stay curious and explore different sounds because creativity develops through exploration.
Outside teaching, I enjoy composing music, recording guitar sessions, and exploring multiple genres. Staying connected to music helps me bring fresh ideas into lessons. Teaching guitar is meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students discover their musical identity. My goal is to support every learner in becoming confident and expressive musicians.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students build strong rhythm control, clean chord transitions, and expressive musical playing through structured and enjoyable practice. I teach strumming patterns, finger placement, chord progressions, scale basics, timing accuracy, improvisation, and melodic phrasing in a calm and supportive environment. Students learn how consistent practice improves coordination, timing, and musical confidence over time. Every lesson is designed to feel simple, motivating, and easy to follow.
Lessons are adapted based on each learner’s level and goals. Beginners focus on basic chords, rhythm exercises, posture alignment, and simple songs, while advanced learners work on solo techniques, improvisation, advanced rhythm patterns, and performance preparation. I include backing track practice, ear training, and repetition drills because active engagement strengthens musical understanding effectively. Students receive supportive feedback that helps them improve without pressure or confusion.
I aim to create a relaxed learning space where students feel free to explore music at their own pace. Many learners struggle with timing or chord changes, so I focus on gradual improvement through patience and structured guidance. Over time, students develop stronger rhythm, better coordination, and expressive musical style. Guitar becomes more enjoyable when learners discover their personal sound.
