About Lisa
I am a guitar tutor with 9 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance. My love for music started through exploring different playing styles, and over the years I discovered that teaching is just as rewarding as performing.
I enjoy creating lessons that are supportive, practical, and easy to understand. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit individual goals and learning styles. Building confidence is always as important as building technique.
Outside teaching, I enjoy learning new arrangements, performing, and exploring music from different cultures. These experiences allow me to bring fresh ideas into every lesson while helping students become expressive and confident guitar players.

My guitar lessons are designed to make learning enjoyable while building strong musical skills. We begin with correct posture, hand position, chord transitions, rhythm practice, and picking techniques. Every concept is explained using simple language and practical demonstrations so students understand both the technique and the purpose behind it. I encourage learners to ask questions, experiment with different sounds, and enjoy every step of their progress.
As students become more confident, we explore scales, fingerstyle patterns, strumming variations, improvisation, solo phrasing, ear training, and music theory. I include popular songs, creative exercises, and structured practice routines that match each learner's goals. Regular feedback helps students improve their accuracy, timing, and musical expression while keeping practice interesting and rewarding.
My goal is to help students become independent musicians who enjoy playing with confidence. Every lesson develops technical ability, creativity, and performance skills while creating a positive learning experience that encourages long-term musical growth.
