About Siena
My passion for guitar began as a personal form of expression and has grown into a rewarding teaching career spanning nine years. Teaching allows me to share my love for music while guiding students toward both technical mastery and creative growth. I have taught learners of all ages and levels, adapting instruction to suit individual strengths, goals, and styles, ensuring each student progresses with confidence and clarity. I teach with patience, enthusiasm, and flexibility, creating lessons that are structured yet tailored to individual needs. I focus on building technique, musicality, and expressive skills while fostering creativity and personal connection to music. Students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and develop a unique musical voice while achieving steady improvement in skill and confidence. Outside teaching, I continue performing, composing, and exploring new musical styles and techniques. Watching students develop confidence, technical mastery, and self-expression through guitar remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career, and I aim to inspire a lifelong appreciation for music in each learner.

My guitar lessons create an encouraging and structured environment where students can explore the instrument while building technique, musical understanding, and creative expression. Each session begins with hand exercises, finger coordination drills, and warmups to develop dexterity, rhythm, and tone quality. Lessons combine technical exercises with repertoire learning, theory integration, and stylistic exploration. I emphasize understanding music holistically—students learn not only to play notes but to interpret, create, and connect emotionally with the music they perform.
Beginners start with chords, basic strumming, finger placement, and simple melodies. Intermediate learners expand into barre chords, scales, fingerstyle techniques, improvisation, and musical phrasing. Advanced students refine performance skills, complex repertoire, expressive techniques, improvisation, and creative interpretation. Lessons include practice assignments, recordings, music theory exercises, and personalized feedback to ensure steady, meaningful growth. Each session is designed to be both challenging and motivating, helping learners maintain progress while enjoying the process.
Students experience profound growth over time as they develop confidence, musicality, and a personal style. They learn to express themselves through music, communicate creatively, and approach challenges with resilience. Many perform publicly, compose their own pieces, or collaborate in ensembles, discovering the satisfaction of mastery combined with self-expression.
