About Liora
I have been teaching guitar for ten years, driven by a passion for music and a desire to help students develop both technical skills and artistic expression. I enjoy guiding learners of all levels, tailoring lessons to their goals, skill levels, and personal musical tastes. Teaching guitar allows me to combine structured practice with creative exploration, nurturing both competence and individuality. I approach instruction with patience, clarity, and adaptability, emphasizing proper technique, musical understanding, and expressive freedom. I encourage students to practice consistently while exploring improvisation, repertoire interpretation, and personal composition. Lessons are designed to help students grow steadily while fostering confidence and musical joy. Outside teaching, I perform, compose, and study different genres to keep my perspective fresh and inspiring. Watching students progress from beginners to confident, expressive musicians—capable of performing, creating, and interpreting music—is incredibly fulfilling. I emphasize proper technique, hand coordination, chord transitions, scales, fingerstyle, and rhythm while encouraging learners to explore their own musical voice. Lessons are designed to balance guidance with freedom, helping students progress steadily while fostering enthusiasm and inspiration for music.
Beginners learn basic chords, strumming patterns, simple songs, and rhythm exercises to build comfort and coordination. Intermediate learners expand into barre chords, improvisation, fingerstyle, and genre-specific techniques, while advanced students tackle complex repertoire, soloing, performance preparation, and composition. Assignments include technical drills, listening tasks, and optional recordings to reinforce improvement. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s goals and abilities, ensuring both structured progress and creative exploration.
Over time, students develop strong technique, confidence, and personal musical identity. Many begin performing in recitals, collaborating with peers, composing original pieces, or recording music. Guitar study enhances discipline, focus, creativity, and self-expression, providing skills that extend beyond music into daily life.
