About Doris
Teaching guitar feels like a conversation across borders where I share what 20 years of practice has taught me. I admit that I often prioritize the soul of a melody over rigid perfection. My background includes graduating from the Queensland Conservatorium and holding a Licenciatura from Argentina. These credentials support my work with absolute beginners and intermediate students. Over the years I have guided many musicians through improvisation, soloing, and reading sheet music. Whether we focus on acoustic technique or complex electric soloing, I keep things grounded. I bring extensive experience in fingerpicking, reading tabs, and lead guitar to every session. My hope is that we find your unique sound while mastering blues progressions together.

Good music requires a deep connection to the roots of a style rather than just mechanics. I admit that I cannot teach Latin music without singing the words because the language carries the rhythm. My method incorporates 20 years of performing to help you grasp acoustic and electric techniques. Students will find that I emphasize the emotional weight of each note. We will work on your fingerpicking and lead guitar skills while ensuring you feel comfortable reading tabs or sheet music. I provide free chord charts and tab sheets after each class to assist your progress. It is genuinely rewarding to watch a student finally find their flow while playing.
