About Jake
I have 13 years of experience teaching guitar and hold a Master’s Degree in Guitar Performance. During my career, I have worked with students ranging from complete beginners to advanced players seeking greater technical refinement and musical confidence. Watching learners achieve meaningful progress continues to motivate me every day.
My teaching philosophy is built on patience, structure, and adaptability. I believe every student benefits from lessons that recognize their strengths while helping them overcome challenges. Building confidence is an essential part of helping students grow as musicians.
Outside teaching, I enjoy arranging music, studying performance traditions, and collaborating on creative projects. These experiences allow me to bring practical insights and fresh perspectives into lessons. I am passionate about helping students develop skills that support a lifelong enjoyment of music.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students build a complete set of musical skills while enjoying the learning process. We focus on chord transitions, rhythm development, fretboard understanding, fingerstyle techniques, strumming control, articulation, and expressive performance. Every lesson combines technical training with practical musical application.
Students work through structured exercises, repertoire studies, ear-training activities, improvisation practice, and musical interpretation tasks. I explain concepts in a straightforward way so learners can understand not only how to play but also how music functions. Lessons are adapted to match individual goals and experience levels.
I enjoy helping students become more capable and independent musicians through consistent practice and supportive instruction. With clear guidance and personalized feedback, learners strengthen their confidence and musical awareness. My goal is to create lessons that are productive, enjoyable, and inspiring.
