About Sophie
I am a guitar tutor with 7 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar Performance Studies. My musical journey began with a strong passion for rhythm and melody, which led me to formal training in guitar technique and performance development.
I have worked with beginners and intermediate learners, helping them build confidence and strong musical foundations step by step. My teaching style is structured, patient, and easy to follow. I always adapt lessons based on each student’s learning needs.
Outside teaching, I enjoy acoustic music, songwriting, and exploring different guitar genres. This helps me bring fresh ideas into my lessons. My goal is to help students become confident and expressive guitar players.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students develop solid fundamentals in a simple, structured, and supportive way. I guide learners through chord shapes, smooth transitions, strumming patterns, picking techniques, scales, and basic improvisation step by step. Each topic is explained clearly so students can understand without confusion or pressure.
I include guided practice such as rhythm drills, chord changes, and simple song learning. Students are encouraged to practice regularly because repetition builds accuracy, timing, and muscle memory over time. I also provide calm and supportive correction so learners can improve without losing confidence. Every lesson is adjusted based on individual pace and comfort.
As students grow, I introduce fingerstyle basics, solo phrasing, and expressive playing techniques. I help them explore different musical styles so they can discover their own sound. Over time, students become more confident in performing, creating music, and playing with natural expression.
