About Aven
I have 11 years of teaching experience and hold a Master’s Degree in Guitar Performance. My academic background includes advanced harmony, improvisation studies, ensemble collaboration, and performance interpretation. This education enables me to create structured yet flexible lesson plans tailored to individual student goals.
I have taught beginners establishing foundational chords as well as advanced players refining performance and improvisation skills. I believe that consistent practice, clear feedback, and patient mentorship are essential for long-term musical growth. My teaching style is structured, motivating, and focused on balanced technical and creative development.

My guitar lessons are carefully designed to build strong technical foundations while encouraging musical creativity and expressive confidence. At the beginning of instruction, I assess hand positioning, finger independence, pick control (or fingerstyle coordination), posture alignment, and rhythm accuracy. Proper technique is essential for developing speed, clarity, and endurance without strain. We begin with structured warm-up exercises, scale patterns, chord transitions, and rhythm drills to strengthen coordination between both hands. I explain how timing, articulation, tone control, and dynamic contrast influence musical interpretation.
As students advance, we incorporate barre chord mastery, advanced strumming patterns, fingerstyle techniques, improvisation skills, and music theory integration. Repertoire is selected according to the student’s musical interests and long-term goals. We analyze song structure, chord progressions, tempo consistency, and expressive phrasing to deepen musical understanding. Detailed correction and guided repetition ensure steady technical and artistic improvement.
In advanced stages, I focus on performance preparation, stage presence, improvisation confidence, and creative composition skills. Students learn how to perform confidently in front of audiences, maintain rhythmic stability under pressure, and express personal musical identity. Simulated performance practice helps strengthen consistency and reduce performance anxiety. My ultimate objective is to develop disciplined, versatile guitarists who combine technical strength, rhythmic accuracy, and expressive individuality.
