About Jasmine
I am a guitar tutor with 13 years of experience and a PhD in Music Performance. Throughout my teaching journey, I have enjoyed helping learners discover that consistent practice and clear guidance can make even difficult techniques feel achievable.
My teaching style combines patience, structure, and creativity. I encourage students to understand music rather than simply copy it, allowing them to build confidence while developing their own musical identity.
Outside teaching, I enjoy composing instrumental music, exploring world guitar styles, and performing at community events. These experiences allow me to bring fresh inspiration into my lessons while helping students stay motivated throughout their musical journey.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students build lasting skills through enjoyable and well-structured learning. We begin with correct posture, hand positioning, rhythm training, chord changes, picking exercises, and timing practice before introducing complete musical pieces. Every lesson includes practical demonstrations and guided activities that make each concept easy to understand. Students learn comfortably while developing confidence through consistent progress.
As learners advance, we study fingerstyle patterns, alternate picking, scales, barre chords, improvisation, tone shaping, solo phrasing, and stage confidence. I also include ear training and musical listening exercises that improve creativity and performance. Each lesson is adjusted to match the learner's pace, allowing steady improvement without unnecessary pressure.
My goal is to help every student enjoy playing the guitar while becoming technically skilled and musically expressive. Every lesson develops confidence, discipline, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for music.
