About Jeannie

Students often struggle because they try to learn the name of the chord before they understand the movement of the hand. I began by helping classmates the night before deadlines, and that format of immediate, plain-spoken help stuck with me.

My Master of Music in Vocal Studies from the Royal Academy of Music gave me a deep understanding of how to break down performance mechanics. Working with 484 students has taught me that learners are often failed by a syllabus rather than by their own lack of ability. I keep my own practice journals nearby to remind myself of the early days.

About the lesson

I personalise each guitar session by stripping back the jargon until the core idea lands.

We focus on barre chords, rhythm guitar, and blues progressions to build your confidence. You will explore scales and modes alongside lead guitar techniques using the methods I refined during my Master of Music. We incorporate songwriting and electric technique into every session.

I provide a free trial session to assess your starting level immediately. This allows us to map out your specific trajectory without wasting time. You will hit your goals.
