I’m a guitar tutor with 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Composition with a Guitar Emphasis. Alongside teaching, I actively perform and compose, which keeps my approach fresh and grounded in real musical experiences. I specialize in acoustic fingerstyle and classical guitar, where detail, expression, and creativity come together. For me, music isn’t just a subject—it’s a lifelong skill and a form of personal storytelling. I work with students at all levels, from total beginners to advanced players seeking refinement. My lessons focus on technique, tone, and musical phrasing, while also nurturing each student’s unique artistic voice. My guitar teaching approach is built around creating a strong and reliable rhythmic foundation. I believe rhythm is the heart of great guitar playing, no matter the genre. That’s why I focus on rhythm guitar techniques, strumming patterns, picking dynamics, and groove development. Every lesson includes practical exercises that strengthen timing and feel.
We’ll explore how to lock into a groove, control your strumming hand, and shape your tone through dynamics. I work especially well with The Fingerstyle Enthusiast and The Worship Leader—players who want to bring consistency and emotion to their rhythm. With steady feedback and guided repetition, students start to hear and feel the rhythm more naturally. I help break down complex patterns into simple movements that build muscle memory.
Whether you're aiming to support a band, lead a service, or just improve your solo playing, I’ll help you lay down the perfect rhythm. Lessons are flexible and adapted to your pace and style preferences. We’ll also listen deeply and play along with tracks to improve timing. My goal is to make rhythm second nature. You’ll leave each session with tools you can use right away. I’m here to help you become a confident, steady rhythm guitarist.
