About Maren
Professionally, I am a process engineering student at RWTH Aachen University. I have been playing the guitar with enthusiasm since I was ten years old and for a number of years I have had great pleasure in passing this on to those who are interested. Even though I like to play the electric guitar in my private life, I would like to limit myself to the acoustic guitar in my lessons, as this is where I have the most experience.

Above all, I prefer teaching people who are just about to start playing guitar. Because I know how important it is, especially at the beginning, to properly learn the basics so that no fundamental mistakes creep in. In the first teaching units, I explain briefly the structure of a guitar and then focus primarily on training the coordination and motor skills of the hands and fingers. This is followed by the most important chords and rhythms. Here you will find that you can play along with some songs quite quickly. Early successes also keep the motivation high and thus facilitate further practice. If it is possible with the skills you have already learned, I am happy to respond to song requests.
In general, it is important to me to create a good teaching atmosphere that is fun for both sides. Lessons are always a bit of teamwork;)
