About Spencer
I'm really passionate about Biotechnology and I'm often researching new discoveries or developing my understanding of concepts I already know. Particular areas I'm interested in is Immunology, virology, longevity, cancer biology, and stem cell research. Outside of my research endeavours I'm 23 years old, originally from New Zealand and moved to London to experience a different way of life. I enjoy climbing, building, dirt biking, snorkelling, travelling and learning.

With my biology lessons I start off with an introduction and identify what the topic is that's currently being taught and find out what the student already knows. We'll then dive in and expand on what's currently being taught, reinforcing the knowledge and potentially expand on the concept. Depending on the year level and topic I'll limit the terminology and comprehensiveness required so that it matches the GCSEs or A levels requirements. I do this so that there is more brain capacity for essential learning rather than terminology that might be required for the year above. This of course depends on the students understanding of the concept and what they want to learn. They may already understand it very well and want to expand their understanding into the next year level. Typically these lessons go for about an hour but can go longer if we're on a roll and find the content very useful.
