About the lesson

I have been teaching A-level and GCSE Chemistry and Mathematics since 2010.

My career began in an outstanding sixth form college in Hampshire, where I spent my NQT year and beyond striving to improve girls attainment in the sciences. I collaborated with the Physics department in using other teaching techniques such as seminars to build student`s confidence in their learning.

Most recently I have been working in a sixth form college in central London working with various students from different cultures. In this role, I have focussed more on teaching exam technique, which is often lacking in student`s education.

My experience is in OCR and AQA exam boards, however there is an 80% similarity in the UK exam boards so it is not an issue if you study a different one.

3 years of my career have been spent tutoring pupils, both online and 1 to 1. I really enjoy my job because there is so much satisfaction in seeing someone become more confident in their learning, and achieve the grades that they deserve.

As a tutor, I see myself as merely a guide... you have to put the hard work in but I am here to show you the easiest and most effective way of achieving your goal.

I am patient and approachable. I guarantee that students will feel comfortable asking for support and become far more confident in their subject.
