About Geoff
I am the father of five adult daughters who have all achieved great results at university. I have a friendly manner and approach to studies. In my earlier career I was a lawyer with an MBA and LLB and worked as a commercial litigator. I find that teaching rather than suing corporations is more personally rewarding and so I switched to an academic career a dozen years ago. I am also an A-Level History Examiner for the AQA, OCR and CIE exam boards and so understand what is needed to score well on final exams.

I am a very experienced tutor with more than ten years experience. I have helped many students gain admission to Oxford, Cambridge and top universities around the world. I help develop confidence and critical analysis skills. Writing effective essays requires a solid grasp of content which must be reinforced by continuous revision to remove all knowledge gaps . I stress the importance of 15-20 minutes of daily reading to assure mastery of the content. If you wish to apply to Oxford History then I am your best choice as I marked the HAT in 2018 and 2019 and attended undergraduate interviews. I know what is required for admission.
