About Jade

Jade is a talented classical pianist with a passion for teaching. After growing up and studying music in Seoul, South Korea, he moved to the United States and earned his Master’s and Doctorate in Piano Performance from The University of Texas at Austin. Throughout his musical journey, music came to be a powerful source of consolation, healing, and joy. Today, his work is shaped by the belief that music will enrich the lives of any who experience it, and through playing music anyone can learn to share its restorative power with others. Dr. Jung maintains a private studio with students of all levels, from young beginners to experienced adults. His teaching philosophy is to help students find and develop their own musicianship through sincere and joyous musical study. Dr. Jung is also an active performer and collaborator in the greater Austin area, where he enjoys exploring a wide variety of repertoire with an equally wide range of string, wind, and two-piano ensembles.

Jade has a lot of knowledge of Piano techniques, theory, and repertoire. With those knowledge, he uses teaching methods to suit each student's individual needs and learning style, making lessons more effective.

Jade always demonstrates patience and encouragement, helping students overcome challenges and build confidence in their playing also he tried to give his student lot of experience like recital and camp.

His students are satisfied his class and they like him. So I recommend him as a good piano instructor
