About Lylah
I have a wide range of skills and life experience that lend themselves well to creative writing and getting ideas across. I have a specific knack and attention to detail and enjoy reading peoples' work and building their successes and working on areas that need work. My educational background is strong with a strong foundation in writing in high school and college. My creative foundation comes from my BA in Art which weaves its way into a creative approach to tutoring and teaching a strong foundation in writing and English Language.

I work with students and where they are in writing, what specific skills they need to work on and where their strengths and weaknesses are. I come up with short writing exercises to both challenge students and help them build their confidence in writing style, grammar and punctuation and effectiveness in getting their message across.
My lessons are very interactive and engaging. They often put tutoring in the context of the life of the student and what interests them and engages them on a deeper learning level.
I work with all ages, from elementary through high school level students.
