About Charounda
Teaching exists to pass down the songs that define our shared history. My work as a performer took me through 9 years of bluegrass and old-time festivals. I bring 13 years of experience to my lessons.
Having taught 379 students, I have seen how people approach the guitar as adults or working professionals. I hold a BM Music Performance degree. I grew up with music in the dirt and the dust, which is where I stay.

About the lesson

You will start by holding the instrument in a way that feels natural to your body. We look at power chords and strumming patterns during the first 15 minutes of our meeting.
Learning to read tabs and sheet music happens alongside your acoustic technique. I include a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum, which helps busy adults and teens stay on track. Music theory becomes a tool for improvisation and soloing rather than a chore. Fingerpicking is a joy.
Tuning and maintenance are handled early on so you can focus on the melody. It is always a pleasure to hear you play.
