About Sheri
"After guiding 388 students toward their musical goals, I have found that former childhood string players often possess a unique sensitivity that transfers beautifully to the keyboard. My formal piano study through the diploma level allows me to help you navigate everything from dynamics and expression to complex pedaling technique.
I have spent years training in the French tradition, which I apply when we work on jazz improvisation or pop and contemporary arrangements. Learning is a process that requires patience and curiosity, especially when we tackle chord voicing or advanced memorization techniques. I also prepare students for ABRSM or Trinity exams and sharpen sight-reading skills alongside accompaniment work. Throughout our 60-minute lessons, we dissect the technical requirements of your music using the 5 years of experience I bring to every interaction. A progress tracker is shared with parents every month to keep everyone informed about your development and milestones. We build a methodical structure for your practice that avoids the common pitfalls faced by adult learners who are returning to music.
