About Elena
My name is Elena! I have played violin for around 10 years and my experience includes having played in an orchestra performed with them at various places such as the Royal Festival Hall, St John’s Church and Brixton Town Hall. I’ve also been part of a jazz and reggae band and have played in multiple bands in various styles since, in which I played my electric violin. I’m very versatile with a classical plus multi-genre background. I have taught young children in groups and 1 to 1 for around 3 years, but I can teach beginner adults of any age. x

I can guide you through the fundamentals- including bow hold, left-hand shape, posture, basic theory, simple pieces, rhythms, and developing good habits from the start. I bring both solid violin technique and a well-rounded musical background. As a violinist, singer, and producer, I’ve developed a deep understanding of musicality, creativity, and disciplined practice. I like to start with the Suzuki method as that’s how I started, so helping students develop a good ear and good musical foundation. Later on, I do incorporate some traditional, so I start to teach basic theory and some note reading and scale work, depending on how the student is doing and at what level they are at. I’m patient, organised, and very comfortable adapting my teaching style to the needs, goals, and learning pace of each student!
