About Arul
Hello, I'm Arul! I am currently attending the University of California, Santa Barbara, majoring in biology. I have been fortunate to have an strong academic background, with some of my notable achievements including scoring 1570 on the SAT and maintaining a GPA of 4.5+ while completing 10 AP classes. These accomplishments not only secured my acceptance into UCSB but also opened doors to UC Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, and Vanderbilt University.
My interest in tutoring sparked during my high school freshman year and has flourished ever since. At Kumon, I honed my tutoring skills, assisting students in mathematics and English. Amid the global challenges posed by COVID-19, I expanded my reach by volunteering for an online platform, providing ongoing support to students in these critical subjects while adapting to the evolving educational landscape. Currently, I hold the position of Director for an African organization, where I am involved in teaching mathematics and overseeing fundraising initiatives and educator recruitment. This role embodies my dedication to nurturing academic growth and shaping a brighter future for students.
