About Ravi
I’ve been tutoring for the past 10 years privately all around Leicester, my students range from GCSE level to University students who are studying Economics and need a refresher session on their Maths skills.
I myself studied Economics and Finance at the University of York and just last year I brushed up on my own Maths skills and got an A* in Pure Mathematics at A Level.

If you’re looking for someone to teach you Maths in an easy to understand way then you’ve found the right person.
If you’re going through GCSE I can show you this one easy trick to learn factoring that will make you a factorising master.
Or if you’re struggling with simultaneous equations, I’ll show you a 5 minute tutorial that will get you full marks of any type of equation, even those in the higher paper of GSCE Maths.
I’ll also show you the 6 common mistakes to avoid that will get you from a D to a B.
I specialise in Maths at GCSE and A Level so if you’re studying A Level Maths or Further Maths then I’ve got you covered too. I used to struggle memorising the quadratic formula but after spending hours for days I came up with a very clever of memorising it and I can show you this too.
You probably know this already but the best way to prepare for exams is through past papers. I can show you exactly how to navigate through these papers and how much time to spend on certain questions. Knowing how to differentiate and integrate is good but if you’re terrible at exam technique then it can cost you 20% of the marks.
Here's what other students have said about me:
“He showed me exactly what I needed to do to get me into college. He always came prepared which is something my parents liked because his hourly rate is higher than others so it’s good we didn’t waste any time.”
“Very patient guy as I can be a little slow to pick things up which is why I struggle at school. Not sure I could’ve got my B if it wasn’t for him.”
If you’re a parent reading this, did you know that the biggest obstacle in taking exams is nervousness. Research shows that the main reason for exam-room nervousness is the unfamiliar phrases of most exam questions. The more familiar the student is with these questions, the better his grades will be. This is why it is equally important to focus on both knowledge and exam technique. It’s tricky at first but they get easier and easier for your child as they’re given more and more practise.
Recently I tutored a first year GCSE student studying at Lutterworth college. In his words he considered his Maths ability to be “absolutely useless”. He came to me rather late but after spending a few months with him I took him from a grade 1 to a grade 6 (or grade E to grade B). Perhaps if he had seen me sooner we could have got that A/A*.

Hello Ravi.
Thank you very much for tutoring me and fortunately I passed because of you.
I liked the way you broke down the paper, it made me see it in a different light. You helped me see where I was losing easy marks.
And your mnemonics memory technique helped me with the quadratic formula!
I know I find some topics like differentiation and simultaneous equations very hard but I liked that you were very patient and made these topics fun because maths is very boring.Hello Ravi.

Both my kids went from a D to an A and they couldn't have done it with your patience and teaching style.
I also liked how you came prepared every session so no time was wasted.
I wish you the best and I'll continue to recommend you to other parents too!View more recommendations
