About Irena
"You have likely felt the frustration of having a melody in your head that simply refuses to land on the page. In my 8 years of experience, I have worked with 115 students to move past that exact block.
I find that the most impactful songs come from small, specific details rather than vague feelings. By focusing on motif development and imagery, I help aspiring artists find their unique voice.
Writing is a muscle that we strengthen through consistent, guided practice. I use my degree to provide structure while keeping the process human and relatable.
It is rewarding to see students transform a simple chord progression into a complete narrative. My approach relies on the idea that every writer has something distinct to say if they are given the right tools. I hope we can start working on your story soon."

"Since the best songs often start with a messy scribble in a notebook, I make sure we begin by refining your rawest concepts. Writing to a brief helps you sharpen your focus while maintaining the emotional core of your music. We spend time exploring chord progressions that support your lyrics and enhance your message. Drawing from my degree, I guide you through the craft of songwriting so you feel empowered to write independently.
