As a former domestic first-class cricketer in Sri Lanka, my coaching approach draws heavily from my own experiences. I believe in imparting practical knowledge and insights gained from my time on the field. My techniques focus on developing a strong foundation in skills, emphasizing proper form and execution. I also prioritize mental and strategic aspects of the game.
In my teaching methodology, I combine traditional coaching techniques with modern advancements. I utilize video analysis to provide visual feedback, helping players understand their strengths and areas for improvement. This technology allows for a deeper understanding of their performance and growth over time.
A typical lesson with me spans around 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing ample time for warm-ups, skill drills, strategy discussions, and personalized feedback. Flexibility is key, so I adjust the training sessions according to the players' needs and progress.
With my experience as a domestic first-class cricketer, I bring a strong understanding of the game's dynamics, which helps me provide practical insights to players. I've also dedicated time to coaching, refining my teaching skills, and staying updated with the latest coaching techniques.
