About Anne Marie
Hi! I’m a passionate Algebra 1 teacher who loves helping students feel more confident in math. As a classroom teacher, I work with students with a wide range of learning styles and abilities, which has taught me that there is no “one-size-fits-all” way to learn math. I strive to create a comfortable, encouraging environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace. I truly believe that every student is capable of succeeding in math with the right support, patience, and encouragement. My goal as a tutor is to meet each student where they are, strengthen their understanding, and help them become more confident and independent mathematicians.

My approach to tutoring is all about making Algebra 1 feel less overwhelming and more understandable. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and aren’t afraid to make mistakes. I break difficult concepts down step-by-step, explain the “why” behind the math instead of just teaching shortcuts, and adjust my approach based on how each student learns best. My goal is not only to help students complete their homework or prepare for a test, but to build their confidence so they can walk into their math class feeling prepared and capable.
