About Vivian
I've been private tutoring for the past five years and students whom I have worked with have gone on to four year universities. My bachelor's degree is in biochemistry and I am currently getting my master's in teaching. I am currently a high school chemistry teacher.

I always start a lesson by activating my student's prior knowledge to see what they know/remember. In general, my teaching methodology is to make the content easier to understand by using analogies to explain things. I also strive to determine where my student's main point of confusion is so that it can be clarified before moving on to the next topic. In addition, I frequently check for student understanding throughout my lessons so that I can gauge whether or not students are actually getting the material.
