About Ilene
Hi! I am a passionate and dedicated tutor who loves helping students build confidence in mathematics. As a high school senior who has successfully completed advanced honors math courses, I understand the challenges students face and how to break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps. My goal is to create an encouraging and patient learning environment where your child can feel supported, ask questions freely, and develop a genuine understanding of math concepts rather than just memorizing formulas. I've taken Honors math classes during high school and pharmacy pathway for 3 years which requires math calculations. I also have experience with working with kids as I have volunteered for my church!

I am great at making math fun and engaging for elementary school students. My lessons are designed for young learners (grades k–5) to build confidence in arithmetic, fractions, and geometry word problems. A typical lesson includes an interactive concept review, fun problem-solving games, and homework assistance. What sets me apart is my patient, adaptive teaching technique that removes math anxiety. Please let me know if your student has specific goals when you contact me!
