About Shaleen
My name is Shaleen, and I am a dedicated Spanish tutor with a strong passion for language learning. As someone who has recently completed middle and high school Spanish courses and have achieved a bilingual level of fluency, after having studied in Spain for 5 years as well, I understand the challenges students face in modern classroom environments.
I am patient and professional, and above all committed to create a supportive space where students can build confidence in their Spanish skills.

I focus on making Spanish feel practical rather than memorization; that is, learning words and phrases that'll be used in conversation rather than obscure phrases you might learn in an average classroom.
I help students improve vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and reading comprehension.
A typical lesson would include working through grammar and vocabulary concepts that may be challenging in Spanish, practicing some listening comprehension, and finishing off with some conversation practice. I also help with homework and test preparation when needed.
What sets me apart is that I understand what it's like to learn Spanish in a modern classroom environment as someone who recently took middle and high school Spanish.
My lessons are ideal for beginner to intermediate Spanish students, including middle and high school students. They are also ideal for higher-level students who may hope to have chances to improve their conversational Spanish.
