About Shivani
I am a dedicated high school student with a strong academic background across a variety of subjects, including AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature, AP Calculus AB, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, and AP Spanish. My experience with challenging coursework has helped me develop strong study habits, organization skills, and strategies for learning difficult material.
As a tutor, I am patient, organized, and dependable. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to explain concepts clearly and adjust my approach when something is not working. I believe that asking questions and making mistakes are important parts of learning.
I take each tutoring session seriously and come prepared to help students make meaningful progress. Whether a student needs help understanding an assignment, preparing for a test, organizing their workload, or developing better study habits, I provide supportive guidance while encouraging them to become more independent learners.
My goal is not simply to help students get through their schoolwork, but to help them develop the confidence, organization, and skills they need to succeed independently.

My goal is to help students become more confident and independent learners, rather than simply helping them finish their assignments. I use a patient, organized, and personalized approach, adjusting each lesson based on the student's needs, learning style, and current schoolwork.
A typical lesson begins by checking what the student needs help with, whether that is an upcoming test, a difficult assignment, or a topic they are struggling to understand. We then break the work into manageable steps and work through it together. I explain concepts clearly, demonstrate strategies when needed, and then give the student opportunities to try them independently. We finish by reviewing what they learned and identifying anything they should continue practicing.
For homework help, I guide students toward finding the answers themselves rather than simply giving them the solution. For study skills, I can help students organize assignments, plan their study time, prepare for tests, improve note-taking, and develop study routines that work for them.
What sets me apart is that I am a student myself, so I understand the challenges students face in school and the difference that a clear explanation or better study strategy can make.
My lessons are primarily for elementary and middle school students, who need general academic support, homework guidance, or help developing stronger study habits.
