About Miranda
I am a High School teacher who has experience teaching both a English and Social Studies / History. I’ve worked as a tutor and a teacher for over 17 years and I recently obtained my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I currently teach public school and create online resources for students, parents, and other teachers looking to increase engagement and rigor for their students.

I start each lesson with a general conversational assessment with students to gauge their current knowledge base for social studies and history and identify the skills and knowledge needed for them to be successful in their course. I then teach students to use their strengths as a learner to increase their proficiency while teaching them skills to improve their weak areas. I believe every student has the ability to learn and that I can inspire a passion for history and the world around them. I plan engaging lessons, help with homework, and set your student up for a successful future as a lifelong learner.
