I learnt chess at the age of 4 from my mum and instantly fell in love with the game. The first thing is learning chess should be fun! I aim to make my classes as interactive as possible and start by assessing the students strengths and weaknesses before agreeing on a plan for improvement. All lessons will include a written summary afterwards with suggested work to do to improve between sessions.
I have been teaching chess for the last 15+ years full-time to all ranges of players, from complete novice through to Grandmaster, from ages of 6 to adult. I myself am an International master and have worked with the English national junior teams on numerous occasions, both home and abroad.
