About Leah
I am a 24 year old teacher from the West Midlands. I graduated Cardiff University with a first class honours degree in Ancient History and Archaeology. In 2023, I attained a Level 5 TEFL diploma. I am able to teach all levels of English. I have experience teaching both online and in-person. For the past year I have been working with the MOD to teach English to Afghan refugees. Age and abilities ranged from 5- 60+years old and learning an alphabet for the first time to IELTS preparation. I am able to adapt to your requirements with ease as my previous experience required this everyday in order to meet the needs of my varied students. I am a kind, patient and enthusiastic teacher who would love to help you expand your English language. My personal interests are reading, playing the piano and learning new languages! I aim to make sessions entertaining and interesting by finding topics that students can relate to! Lessons will be varied and working on skills that students require for advancing their language ability. We will cover reading, speaking, listening and writing. I believe the best way to learn a language is through speaking so these lessons will be great for that! Web cameras will be on during sessions so students can see me during our lesson to help understanding and building trust. Learning a language is intense and your brain can only take so much-so lessons will be placed at a maximum of an hour at a time. If you would like to discuss anything further please let me know!
