About Poonam
I am passionate about teaching. I have experience in tutoring Primary and Secondary level students in India. I have taught Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and English to students with a wide range of abilities and have had excellent results with them. I have also taught Master Students special topics in Physics in the Department of Physics, University of Delhi, India. In the United Kingdom, I have taught AS level Physics in Basildon, Essex, England from November 2014-March 2015. I am currently tutoring S2 and Higher Physics in Bearsden and Glasgow. I help my students with their difficulties in Physics. I try to build their confidence by clarifying the basic concept of the subject and giving them the right explanation and lots of examples.

I am a highly qualified Physicist with experience in analytical research and tutoring. I hold a PhD degree in Physics with first author research publications in peer-reviewed journals (Nanotechnology and Sensors and Actuators) and Masters and Bachelors degrees both in Physics. I also have professional qualification in Software Testing with ISTQB certification.
I am an organised person, dedicated to my work and responsibilities. I am easy going, understanding and approachable.
I have also worked as a volunteer classroom assistant at St Paul's Primary School, Glasgow.
I love to teach. I enjoy helping students with their studies and I feel proud to see them achieving their potential.
I am currently giving S2 and Higher Physics lessons.
I make my lessons as simple and realistic as possible by giving the right explanation and examples so that the students can understand the basic concept of the subject. This helps to make the subject more interesting and to boost up their confidence.
I can teach Physics at all levels: National, Higher, Advanced Higher, Honours and Masters Degree.

Poonam has been teaching my daughter physics for through this year and Zara who panics at the thought of failing her physics exam has greatly improved.
