About Ellie
As a highly rated tutor (top 10%) on the tutoring platform Schoolhouse, I am comfortable teaching high school students at all levels. Having taken the digital SAT twice and received a 1500+ score, I am familiar with the new modifications that have happened with the SAT in the upcoming year. My specialty is in reading and writing, but I have a strong background in Mathematics as well: Being homeschooled, I taught myself mathematics through precalculus, and am currently taking Introduction to Complex Analysis with the Harvard Extension School.

My lessons are for high school students with an SAT score in the 400-690 range. Although I try to personalize my lesson plans to fit the needs and skill level of the student, a typical lesson plan looks like this:
1. Short math warm-up game
2. 6 review problems of a specific Reading and Writing OR math topic (which one it is depends on the day)
3. we both take an abridged practice SAT
4. We go over the practice SAT, reviewing hard problems and working on solving them faster.
5. End with grammar review game (if time)
I have tutored students of many different learning abilities and skill levels. This lesson plan allows me to adapt to their learning style and easily identify topics that they struggle with. As a high school student myself, I have taken the digital SAT twice and am very familiar with the changes and specificities of the digital interface.
