About Gavin
With 10 years of ESL teaching experience, I specialise in helping high school and college students improve their English proficiency through personalised, engaging, and interactive lessons. My approach focuses on understanding each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning goals to create a tailored roadmap for success.
I incorporate structured grammar instruction, vocabulary expansion, reading comprehension, writing practice, and speaking exercises, emphasising both accuracy and fluency. I also use real-world scenarios, discussions, and role-plays to make lessons relevant and practical.
My unique ability lies in building confidence while fostering a deep understanding of the language. Over the years, I have guided numerous students to achieve academic success, improve communication skills, and develop the ability to express themselves confidently in English.

I teach ESL with a focus on C³P—Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving. Creativity is encouraged through storytelling, role-plays, and interactive projects, inspiring students to explore language confidently and think independently.
Communication is central to my lessons, incorporating discussions, debates, and collaborative exercises that improve fluency, comprehension, and practical communication skills. Compassion ensures lessons are tailored to individual needs, offering guidance, motivation, and support to build confidence and engagement.
Problem-solving is integrated through scenario-based exercises, real-life applications, and analytical tasks that allow students to use English effectively while developing critical thinking. I also teach complementary subjects such as reading comprehension, writing skills, and vocabulary building to enhance overall learning.
This approach develops learners who are confident, creative, empathetic, and capable of solving problems and communicating effectively in multiple contexts.
